This Privacy Policy explains how Industrial Spectrum ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use industrialspectrum.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, phone, country, job title, and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
- Company information — details you submit when registering or editing a company, including verification documents you upload (business registration, tax ID, certifications).
- Listings and content — products, descriptions, images and logos you publish.
- Enquiries — quote requests (RFQs) and contact or advertising messages, including the name, email, phone and company you provide, and their content.
- Newsletter and event alerts — your email address and any preferences you give.
- Payment information — when you buy a paid membership, payment is processed by Razorpay. We receive an order and payment reference and the plan purchased. We do not receive or store your card or bank details.
- Technical data — login activity (time, IP address, browser), and a session token stored in your browser so you stay signed in.
2. How we use information
- To create and secure your account and provide the Site's features.
- To review and verify companies and moderate listings.
- To forward your enquiries to the suppliers or teams you contact.
- To process membership payments and send service notifications.
- To send newsletters and event alerts you subscribed to (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To detect abuse, secure the Site and meet legal obligations.
3. What is public
Approved company profiles and published products — including the company name, description, location, website, business email and phone you provide — are visible to anyone. Your personal account details are not public unless you choose to make your profile visible to other members.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: (a) suppliers or companies you send an enquiry to; (b) service providers that operate the Site for us — Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Hostinger (web hosting) and Razorpay (payments) — under appropriate safeguards; and (c) authorities where required by law.
5. Storage and security
Data is stored with our infrastructure providers, which may process it outside your country. We use encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security so that users can only reach data they are entitled to. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and comply with law. You may ask us to delete your account; some records (such as payment references) may be retained where the law requires.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or withdraw consent for marketing, and request a copy of your data. You can update most details in your account and company dashboards, or contact us at hello@industrialspectrum.com.
8. Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Razorpay's checkout may set its own cookies when you pay.
9. Children
The Site is for businesses and professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
